Oxford International Study Centre is a well established college in the centre of Oxford. OISC has a grade one inspection report (“exceeds expectations” ) of the Independent Schools Inspectorate, which is an approved educational oversight body authorised by the UKVI. OISC is also an accredited member of COBIS (the Council for British International Schools), a member of the European Council of International Schools. and of the Swiss Group of International Schools. The Principal is an associate member of the Independent Educational Consultants Association .
We have a licence from UK Visas & Immigration for the awarding of Tier 4 visa documentation (licence no. CEUN 82AB6).
Principal and Director
Benjamin Llewelyn has worked for OISC since its opening in 2006, in many different roles. He graduated from Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford, in English Language and Literature, before undertaking an Masters in Classical Reception at the University of Bristol, working primarily on the relationships between Ancient Greece, Rome, and Egypt, and modern social theories. He became Principal of OISC in 2014.
Carolyn Llewelyn has worked in international education for over twenty years. She first established her own college in Oxford and was runner-up in the UK Women in Business awards. She then became Principal of an international college in Oxford, and was later Principal of OISC for eight years, from its opening in 2006. She graduated from St Anne’s College, Oxford, in Modern and Medieval Languages.
The tutors at OISC are graduates of leading universities, including Oxford and Cambridge, and have many years’ experience of teaching both domestic and international students, and international clients. The vast majority of our students who are applying to university gain a place at their first or second choice institution, and the pass rate for IELTS is 100%.
