About Our Programmes
Students on full-time A-Level and GCSE programmes typically have 6 hours of classes per subject each week (A-Level) and 3/4.5 hours of classes per subject each week (GCSE).
Our maximum class size is 6 students, and most classes have 3-4 students. Many students take 1:1 tuition in some subjects.
These programmes are particularly popular for those who have not found mainstream, large-scale education to be a good fit for them; or for students whose secondary leaving qualifications are not acceptable for direct entry to UK universities (check your country’s qualifications and their equivalents for UK university entry through the UCAS website here).
We have excellent support for students with additional learning needs (SEN), with a dedicated SENCo who meets students and parents weekly, as well as flexible arrangements and scheduling to maximise attendance and productivity. We support a number of students with EHCPs, supported by the Local Authority, each year.
Many of our full-time students are re-taking public exams to improve their grades for university entry, or taking an intensive, one-year A-Level programme in order to gain the qualifications needed to bridge the gap between their international secondary education, and UK university entry.
For international students, our GCSE and A-Level programmes include Academic English Language and IELTS support as standard, in order to ensure that students have the language level needed to succeed academically.
For international students aged 16 or over, OISC is able to offer visa sponsorship under a range of different routes, if required. Please see our visa information page for full details, and to check whether you will need a visa to study at OISC.

"All in all, truly outstanding, both for summer courses and university application help.
OISC were able to offer me invaluable advice and support for my (successful) UCAS application and university interviews. The wealth of information provided was, I believe, crucial in mastering the British application format; I was also excellently prepared for an additional A-level needed for my application by further online tuition."
