OISC 'exceeds expectations' 2026

Published: 06 July 2026

In April 2026, OISC was visited by inspectors from the Independent Schools Inspectorate over a period of three days, to conduct a full re-inspection of our provision. We are delighted to say that, following publication of the full report - which can be viewed by clicking below - the college has again been judged to 'exceed expectations for the quality of education'.

This is the highest grade available, and represents the 8th successive inspection at which we have been awarded this distinction. We are particularly delighted to see recognition of the college's great strengths in safeguarding and pastoral care, and the flexibility of course arrangements:

"Course provision is excellent. Students are well educated in accordance with their objectives and the stated aims of the college. Courses are very well matched to students' needs and aspirations and are highly flexible... There is a wide range of subjects and combinations available, carefully tailored to meet the needs of students on academic courses."

We are grateful, as always, to the ISI for their comprehensive and helpful report, and to all staff and students for their hard work and efforts during the inspection period.
